Tahoe Forest Health System is pleased to announce that Dr. Sonia Reichert has joined their team at the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center.
Dr. Reichert is a hematologist/oncologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cancers. She believes that successful cancer treatment involves taking this journey hand in hand with her patients and supporting their unique medical and personal needs at every step of the way.
In addition to providing care to her patients, Dr. Reichert’s previous role in oncology research led to the development of a clinical research team and implementation of clinical trials for the Greater Sacramento Oncology Division.
Dr. Reichert attended medical school at Our Lady of Fatima University in Manila, Philippines. She completed her internal medicine residency at the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center and her hematology/oncology fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Reichert is Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
