Gail Icenhower, MS, CCC-SLP

Gail received her master's in Speech Language Pathology from University of Nevada, Reno. She works in all therapy settings at Tahoe Forest Health System: outpatient, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing/long term care, and home health services.

 

She specializes in the treatment of speech, language, and cognitive disorders following stroke, traumatic brain injury, and those associated with neurological illnesses. She also specializes in the treatment of dysphagia, or swallowing dysfunction, and is certified in the administration of neuromuscular electrical stimulation in conjunction with dysphagia therapy.

 

She enjoys working with individuals of all ages and encourages the participation of family members in therapy. Gail has worked in the medical field for 20 years and has lived in the Truckee/North Tahoe area since 1999.
