The Tahoe Forest Hospital District Board of Directors appointed Mary Gallagher Brown to the Board of Directors at special board meeting on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. She was sworn into office on June 22 at the regular meeting of the Board of Directors.
The appointment fills the vacant seat of Greg Jellinek, MD, who relocated out of the Truckee Tahoe area. Dr. Jellinek’s seat is up for re-election in November 2018, along with two other District Board of Directors seats.
Mary Gallagher Brown joins the board with more than 20 years of hospital governance experience in the Bay Area, including Providence Hospital Oakland, California- later merging with Summit Hospital.
Ms. Brown remained on the board of directors when Summit Hospital merged with Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, California until it became affiliated with Sutter Health until 2013.
The Tahoe Forest Hospital District Board of Directors meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month at the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Administrative Offices, located at 11603 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, California 96161. Meetings are open to the public and interested members of the public will be provided the opportunity to address the Board on agenda items. Additionally, board meetings are streamed live on TTCTV and tfhd.com, and archived for future viewing.
