We would like to welcome a new Board member to the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation. Michael McGarry is our Ex-Officio Member on the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation Board. We recently welcomed Michael to the Board in 2020. We are honored to have him on the team – his presence has already been a great asset to our Foundation.
Michael is the Founder and President of Forvida, a company he launched in 2015. Fovida is a customer-focused consulting firm passionate about developing health solutions that engage individuals in making and maintaining good health. With more than 20 years’ experience in the health care industry, Michael formed his company so he could develop not only innovative programs, but also medical devices from prototype through FDA approval, within small start-up organizations and Fortune 500 medical companies.
Previously, Mr. McGarry managed the design, development, and launch of a custom remote patient monitoring system for Alere Medical to improve care for patients with chronic conditions, such as congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes. Mr. McGarry has been responsible for the design, development, and clinical evaluation of numerous therapeutic cardiovascular products, and directed physician training for - and market evaluation of - products in both the U.S. and Europe. Mr. McGarry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, an MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and several published patents and publications. We are thrilled to have Michael McGarry a part of our Foundation team!
