When you designate your gift to the “Area of Greatest Need,” the Foundation Board of Directors will direct your gift to where the Hospital’s most significant need is at the time. Giving in this way allows our local Foundation board to directly pinpoint the most urgent needs of our Health System. You can be assured that your gift will increase access to local healthcare services!
To offer the best possible patient care experience, state-of-the art technology and diagnostic equipment is a vital necessity. Last year the Foundation Board of Directors approved the use of area of greatest need funding to help purchase a 3D Mammography Tomosynthesis machine. This new system allows for local stereotactic biopsies, increases detection of invasive cancers by 41%, and will reduce false positives by up to 40%.
